Columnist Luke O’Neil has lost his mother to a condition that he describes as “Fox News Brain” — and it turns out he’s not alone. In a new piece published by The Guardian, O’Neil shares horror stories from other Americans who have seen relationships with their families decline thanks to their addiction to watching Fox News. They ignore other's titles and characterizations and explanations; they rely upon evidence and call black, 'black,' and white, 'white.' News persons, or, those who take it upon themselves to report news, must be accurate. Accurate depictions are solely achieved by employment of proper words derived from dictionary definition and rationality and common sense.

What would be called an 'error' done by any other news network displaying an inaccurate chyron or graphic, is called such because those networks have a long standing, clear record of displaying accurate chyrons and graphics.  Thus we credit those networks with having a motive to be accurate and attribute a rare inaccuracy as a "flub," or 'error,' or 'mistake.'  In this case, The Fox News organization has shown an extended clear record of biased and false chyrons and graphics. [Moreover, they seemingly fail to acknowledge previous errors. ]

In some cases, even editing bogus news packages such as here “FOX edits, fakes applause for John Bolton pro-war statement.”

More so, this record is in direct contravention of industry standards both current and historical.

Further, this record directly aligns with what has been identified as a long standing bias on the part of that network. Another in a series of Fox News falsities cannot logically or truthfully be called a "flub," as it is called in The Raw Story's headline. It is not an innocent inaccuracy; it was done deliberately. It suggests the disdain that Fox management seems to have for its customers perhaps here shown in the Fox Christmas card depicting reindeer pulling Fox Corps. to its top ratings, inexplicable otherwise, viewers portrayed as sheep:

It is not a "flub," an "error," a "mistake," "another flub," "another error" or "another mistake."
It is 'another lie' and must be called such: Another Fox Lie that Deliberately Distorts Democrats.

Here the numbers do not add up to 100% … and not more… as math requires.

In the following example, the data, while correct, draw  a conclusion contrary to what the numbers suggest: A poll was released that showed the public supporting unions by two to one. On Fox, the story using this graph stated the opposite, asserting the public does not support unions. Yet another caveat to Fox viewers: Wake up!

Perino works for Fox but was formerly the press secretary for Bush II.

Both 911 and the anthrax attacks occurred during the Bush II presidency.

Before the Foley sex scandal, few people outside the Florida area knew who Representative Mark Foley was. After the above infograph appeared, millions of Americans first (and incorrect) impression was likely: “Oh, another godless democrat involved in a sex scandal.” Of course, Foley was a Republican and Roger Ailes, news editor in chief at Fox, knew the above would make a useful first impression on millions of their trusting viewers.

During the union recall efforts against Governor Walker in Wisconsin, Fox attempted to portray the teachers and fire fighters, etc., demonstrating in Wisconsin as hooligans with this news clip:

The only problem is that there are no palm trees in Wisconsin --- at least not outdoors.
The clip is from an earlier, unrelated demonstration in California.
But remember, first impressions count. Often, even after so-called warnings from
 top management, the errors continue.
Indeed, Tina Fey was confused with Sarah Palin on Palin’s own [now former] network.

WHO WATCHES FOX?

http://www.people-press.org/2012/09/27/section-4-demographics-and-political-views-of-news-audiences/

From Pew Research Center for People and the Press:

Fox's audience skews old and young. It is largest at the two ends of the spectrum.

Fox 's audience is about half male and half female.

Fox has the least educated TV news audience.

Fox audience members are at the bottom of the pile in annual earnings in TV news.

Fox audience members are far less informed than most TV news watchers. A poll by Fairleigh

Dickinson University in New Jersey showed that of all the news channels out there, Fox News viewers are the least informed.
