George Van Nostrand, M.P.S., C.F.E.



    Director, Programs for Certified Fraud Examiners

    As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), George Van Nostrand is a specialist in the detection and deterrence of a wide variety of fraudulent conduct -- from discovering employees or executives who misappropriate company assets to assisting investors who are defrauded in the course of commercial transactions.

    Charged with investigating a wide variety of allegations of fraud as an external consultant, George is also available to present programs in conjunction with our other CPA subject matter experts in areas of internal controls, litigation support, fraud investigation, and fraud prevention.

    In addition to his work with the Institute, George is also Professor of Criminal Justice at Long Island University and a Licensed Private Investigator. For over twenty years, George worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent and Supervisor in relevant areas such as White Collar Crime and Counter Intelligence.
