Effective Business Correspondence

Through sample letters, exercises, case studies, and letter-writing situations, participants learn what makes good letters and memos work. They learn to evaluate their own letters for strengths and weaknesses, and they learn how to diagnose problems in correspondence so that they might be corrected and revised promptly. Above all, they learn when to be forceful and direct to get the results they want from their readers.

Sample letters will be used in order to apply the principles of effective letter and memo writing on the job. This program explains what choices must be made in order to write clearly. Through lectures, exercises and discussions on correct and incorrect writing patterns, participants will learn the elements of clear writing.

The Workshop focuses on the grammar and the syntax of basic business English. Let us help you understand better the following concepts and practices:

Avoiding common grammar faults
Using correct forms of nouns, verbs, etc.
Accurate active and passive voice constructions
